Serrano the Hyacinth Macaw [Anodorhynchus hyacinthinus] A (without) nodo (toothless) rhynchus (a beak).
aka - Hyacinthine Macaw

Serrano was hatched May 20, 1999. Her homecomming date was March 4, 2001.

Her favorite foods are Harrison's HPC pellets, baked sweet potatoes, boiled carrots, and macadamia nuts, which she shells with ease, plus other assorted nuts.

She enjoys being outside on her play gym which she chews on regularly. She is quite the chewer and can destroy just about any toy in a matter of days. Her beak strenght is awesome! However, she is is as gentle as can be with fingers, and luckly knows the difference between her chew toys and my hands.

She also has an indoor playstand for when she just wants to hang around inside.

Serrano's parents are two really large, beautiful Hyacinths.
