Rojã the Green-winged Macaw [Ara Chloroptera] Ara (strong) chlora (green) ptera (wing). aka Red and Green Macaw. Rojã was hatched February 5, 2001. Her homecoming date was June 29, 2001. She was on two hand-feedings a day. She was not fully weaned until September 30, 2001. |

Her favorite foods are Harrison's HPC pellets, baked sweet potatoes, boiled carrots, and assorted nuts. She enjoys being outside on her playstand which she chews on regularly. She is a sweetheart with a very curious nature. |
She will try anything to get my attention. Here, she is using a feather that just fell out to wave like a flag to get my attention. That, or she was using it as a sword to keep the other birds off her "spot" on the play gym.
