Rojã the Green-winged Macaw [Ara Chloroptera] Ara (strong) chlora (green) ptera (wing). aka Red and Green Macaw.

Rojã was hatched February 5, 2001. Her homecoming date was June 29, 2001. She was on two hand-feedings a day. She was not fully weaned until September 30, 2001.

Her favorite foods are Harrison's HPC pellets, baked sweet potatoes, boiled carrots, and assorted nuts.

She enjoys being outside on her playstand which she chews on regularly.

She is a sweetheart with a very curious nature.

She will try anything to get my attention. Here, she is using a feather that just fell out to wave like a flag to get my attention. That, or she was using it as a sword to keep the other birds off her "spot" on the play gym.

She's not as efficient as Serrano or Tequila when it comes to opening nuts, but she still enjoys trying!

Although her cage is big enough for her to spread her wings, Roja still likes to extercise on the outdoor play stand too.
